Susan Hopkins

Dr Susan Hopkins is Senior Lecturer in Education (Curriculum and Pedagogy) within the School of Education and Tertiary Access at the University of the Sunshine Coast.  Susan is an award-winning university teacher and researcher holding a doctoral qualification (QUT, 2000) as well as a registered secondary school teacher holding full, current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT). Susan has authored Q1 articles, book chapters and books in the field of gender and media studies and earned two Publication Excellence Awards and Six Teaching Awards, including a 2016 National Department of Education and Training Australian Award for University Teaching (Widening Participation). Susan also has an established research record in the field of education, with recent Q1 publications in top ranking journals such as Pedagogy, Culture and Society, Student Success and Critical Studies in Education.
