Penelope Harrison

Biography

Penelope Harrison is a nursing educator and researcher with a strong focus on advancing health equity for people with disabilities. With expertise in paediatric care, primary health care and community health, Penelope brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to teaching and practice.

As an Australian historian and early career researcher, Penelope integrates historical perspectives into contemporary health challenges, highlighting the social and cultural contexts that shape care delivery and the lived experience and life opportunities of people with disabilities. Her work ambitions are to bridge education, research, and advocacy, aiming to empower communities and improve access to inclusive health services.
