Doctoral candidate Matt Lammi specialises in artificial intelligence ethics, data architecture, and technological governance frameworks. At the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Matt is conducting doctoral research on architecting human flourishing, or eudaimonia, during AI-driven post-work transitions. His thesis examines ethical governance architectures, integrating Self-Determination Theory with novel policy models—such as Universal Basic Resources—to ensure advanced artificial intelligence supports long-term societal wellbeing.
Matt connects his academic research directly to professional standards through his appointment to the Australian Computer Society (ACS) Ethics Committee. He completed his Master of Cyber Security and Forensics at UniSC and brings 25 years of enterprise technology leadership to his research. Since November 2022, Matt has served as a Principal Solutions Engineer at MuleSoft and Salesforce, leading data foundation architectures across Informatica, Data Cloud, and Tableau platforms. He previously designed large-scale digital transformations in senior architecture roles at VMware and Cisco between 2008 and 2022.
By bridging commercial data strategy with rigorous ethical inquiry, Matt equips policymakers, corporate executives, and technology leaders to navigate autonomous system deployment.
