About
Dr Joshua Adie has a background in cognitive psychology and sport/performance psychology. His research generally focuses on how experts make decisions in high performance environments. Joshua is interested in research relating to sports officials (i.e., referees and umpires), judgement and decision making, heuristics and biases, skill acquisition, and sport/performance psychology. Joshua is also interested in translating sport & performance psychology principles into non-traditional sport domains (e.g., esports, defence).
