Biography
Jo is an actor, director and performance maker who specialises in voice and movement coaching. From 2022 - June 2024 she was the Director of The National Drama School (Melbourne) and from 2013 - 2019 she established and led the development of Theatre and Performance at UniSC.
She has also taught for WAAPA, Griffith University and The Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts and specializes in Linklater voice and the Suzuki actor training method. Career highlights include performances for Tadashi Suzuki's Theatre Festivals in Japan, The Brisbane Festival, The Brisbane Cabaret Festival and The Brisbane Festival. Jo has trained with: Kristin Linklater, the Suzuki Company of Toga, Oz Frank, Howard Fine, and Shakespeare & Company. She has completed a PhD in cabaret performance and an MA on applications of the Suzuki method.
