Jen is a Lecturer in Allied Health, within School of Health at University of the Sunshine Coast. Clinically, she also has extensive experience as a senior paediatric physiotherapist working in a specialist community setting.
Jen’s research focuses on upskilling health professionals working with children and families experiencing chronic pain in the community setting, and she is passionate about connecting health professionals, parents and children in their journeys through chronic pain. Through novel research methodologies such as qualitative evidence synthesis with lived experience co-researchers, video observation & analysis of clinic sessions, analysis of health professional behaviour, co-design initiatives and formative intervention methodology, she aims for better health care experiences for children, families and health professionals.
Jen's teaching experience spans Allied Health, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs. She is currently program and course coordinator for the Diploma of Allied Health Assistance at UniSC.
