About

My research interests are varied. One important aspect of my work is to help improve clinical competence, critical thinking, and professionalism within the nursing workforce. Another interest is ethics in healthcare.

My PhD focused on improving ward-based hospital nurses’ confidence and competence when performing basic life support through the development of innovative education sessions. This education curriculum has been integrated into the mandatory basic life support training at a Queensland Health hospital.

My future focus is professional practice and identifying nurses needs to become competent and ethical practitioners.
