Faval Copedo is a New Zealander/Australian and a PhD Candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Australia.  In 2019 Faval graduated with a Master of International Development (UniSC) after completing internships with NGOs who support migrants seeking asylum in the U.S, in Tijuana on the U.S/Mexico border, and in Mexico City. Her PhD research is an arts-based research project that explores the lived experiences of human rights defenders on the U.S/Mexican border.
