About

Emma is an early-career researcher with plans to engage in research surrounding paediatric healthcare in the Australian context. With clinical experience in paediatric emergency and intensive care nursing, she has a passion for provision of evidence-based high-quality care for all paediatric patients regardless of geographic location.

Completion of her Honours in 2015 laid the foundations for her role as a research assistant at Monash Children's Hospital, Victoria, supporting clinical trials through networks such as PREDICT, PECARN, and PERN. This resulted in a publication for one of the research projects regarding implementing VR technology for needle procedures in children.

Emma plans to commence her PhD studies in 2026 focusing on her passion of paediatric healthcare.
