About
Biography
Brian Delaney is the Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Prior to his appointment at UniSC in January 2020, Brian worked for both paediatric and adult hospitals in Brisbane and his roles have included senior and team leader. During his time working in the public sector, Brian developed a strong interest in the orthotic management of paediatric, complex neuromuscular and acute spinal conditions.
As the program coordinator for the Prosthetics and Orthotics program, Brian has developed a strong passion for designing innovative learning experiences for students that link theoretical knowledge and clinical practice to professional competencies.
Brian’s current research focus aims to address priority areas within the Prosthetics and Orthotics profession and inform Learning and Teaching within the P&O Program, with a focus on exploring and understanding student and industry perspectives.
