About

I have a special interest in optimising community participation/reintegration and quality of life outcomes following Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). My PhD research examined the experiences and outcomes of individuals with ABI and their family members during the transition from hospital to home. I have utilised my clinical and research expertise to contribute to the development of significant service enhancements for brain injury services in Queensland (Australia) and provided specialist training/consultation in relation to ABI community rehabilitation approaches at a state-wide level and beyond. My research interests extend to consumer experiences, outcomes and co-design; the development and evaluation of innovative models of rehabilitation; vocational rehabilitation; community-based rehabilitation approaches; and interdisciplinary goal planning practices. I am passionate about enhancing engagement in meaningful occupations in the community.
