Dr AK Rahman is a Senior Lecturer in Machine Learning at the University of the Sunshine Coast. His teaching and research focus on Networking, Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, Internet of Things, Smart Energy Systems, cloud computing, intelligent systems, Renewable Energy and digital transformation.

He has extensive experience in ICT, Engineering and computing education. His research interests include applied machine learning, intelligent decision-making, optimisation, cloud robotics, smart systems, Remote Lab Design, Industry 4.0/5.0, and data-driven digital solutions.

Dr Rahman’s work explores how AI, machine learning, and emerging ICT technologies can be used to solve practical problems across energy, automation, education, health, industry, and smart environments. His research aims to connect advanced computing methods and AI with real-world applications, as per industry needs
