About
Wendy is a Pharmacology lecturer within the School of Health and a member of the Biomedicine team. She coordinates Pharmacology for Allied Health (HLT209) and brings extensive clinical expertise to her teaching as an AHPRA-registered Clinical Pharmacist with a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy. Wendy is also a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, has completed a Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Wendy's teaching and research are informed by her commitment to advancing pharmacy education and professional practice. Her doctoral research, “The Role of Undergraduate Education in Developing a Commitment to Lifelong Learning and Continuing Professional Development,” examined how university learning experiences shape graduates’ engagement with ongoing professional development and lifelong learning throughout their careers.
Her current research interests span both pharmacy education and healthcare practice, with projects focused on investigating mental health challenges among undergraduate students, examining pharmaceutical waste management practices in Pakistan, and exploring the implementation of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) within community pharmacy placements. Through this work, Wendy aims to contribute to the development of effective educational strategies, support student wellbeing, and enhance professional practice within pharmacy and allied health settings
