My research focuses on advancing sustainable and resilient power systems with high penetration of renewable energy. I work at the intersection of renewable energy integration, power electronics, and distribution system modernisation.
A core theme of my research is the development of advanced energy management systems for microgrids and low-voltage distribution networks. This includes optimisation of battery energy storage systems, coordinated control of distributed energy resources, and time-of-use based operational strategies to enhance reliability and reduce operational costs.
I also specialise in the design and control of power electronic converters, including dSTATCOMs and DC–DC converters, to improve voltage stability, power quality, and hosting capacity in distribution networks. My work involves analytical modelling, optimisation-based control, and real-time implementation to support grid stability under high solar PV penetration.
Through industry collaboration, I translate research outcomes into deployable solutions that address real-world grid challenges, supporting the transition toward smarter, cleaner, and more resilient electricity networks.
