Dr Tianwa Chen has an interdisciplinary research background spanning data science, information systems, artificial intelligence, business process management, and human-centred computing. Her research centres on human decision-making and cognitive processes in the use of digital information artefacts, with a particular focus on data quality management and human-centred AI. Her work also extends to digital equity and gender disparities in collaborative knowledge platforms. A distinctive strength of her research is her expertise in multimodal behavioural and psychophysiological methods, which she applies to explore complex user behaviours and inform the design of human-centred decision support systems that enhance user experience, accessibility, and inclusion. Tianwa is committed to advancing human-centred approaches to AI and data-driven decision-making, and welcomes collaborations and Higher Degree by Research enquiries in areas related to data quality, human-AI interaction, information systems, cognitive analytics, conceptual modeling, business process management, digital equity, representation, and gender disparities in knowledge platforms.
