About

My research explores the impacts and opportunities of climate change on outdoor environmental education and the role of field naturalist journals in developing ecological literacy in outdoor environmental studies.

In 2024, I was awarded the Journal of Outdoor Environmental Education Outdoor Education Australia Research Award for the paper I co-authored with Dr Glyn Thomas, titled ‘Is climate change the" elephant in the room" for outdoor environmental education?’ This paper was recognised for its exemplary research published in the Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education (JOEE) that has significantly influenced the field of outdoor education, especially in Australia.’
