About

My research interests revolve around the biology of venomous and toxic organisms, their evolution, ecology, and biochemistry. I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of venomous aquatic organisms, in particular fishes. I also have a keen interest in adaptations that arise as a consequence of evolving multiple defensive traits. Other research areas I am involved in are the chemical ecology of semiochemicals and their uses as natural biocontrol agents.

I am open to projects with passionate and outstanding students.
