About

Renae is an early career researcher focussed on food security, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community health, young people, rural and remote settings and policy. Ethical engagement, partnership, equity, reflexivity and evidence translation are the cornerstones of her constructivist research approach. Renae's doctoral research integrated empowerment theory, implementation science and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research frameworks to co-design, implement and evaluate a health promotion initiative focused on adolescent nutrition and social and emotional wellbeing. She has also led state-wide diet cost and affordability monitoring research and contributed to food policy research.
