About

Mikaela Young is a PhD Candidate, Dietitian, Nutritionist, and Nutrition and Consumer Research Assistant at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Mikaela is currently working towards understanding the consumer perspective towards, and acceptance of, seaweed amongst consumers of Westernised societies.


Mikaela is passionate not only about nutrition but also environmental sustainability. She strives to understand how to harness her nutrition background to integrate human and environmental health for the greater wellbeing of the planet.
