About

Laura Pernoud is a PhD candidate with a research focus on menopause and women's health.

Her thesis investigates whether differences in low-grade inflammation and body composition across the stages of menopause may help explain the increased risk of chronic disease in postmenopausal women. She is particularly interested in how reproductive hormones interact with inflammation, body composition, and cognition to influence health outcomes during and after menopause.

With a passion for translating science into practice, Laura is committed to bridging the gap between research and real-world application. She enjoys engaging with her community to share evidence-based insights and empower women with knowledge to support healthy ageing.
