Katie McIntyre is a Sessional Academic and PhD Candidate in the School of Business and Creative Industries at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In addition, she undertakes consultancy work specialising in nonprofit organisations. Her research focuses on various areas, including the role of emotions and leadership, particularly joyful leadership, which is the topic of her PhD research. In addition, Katie is involved in multiple research projects including research on entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, vulnerability and social impact. She also has extensive experience in leadership in the education and nonprofit sector and teaches at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Management and Human Resource Management. Katie has presented her work at multiple conferences and published in peer review journals as well as publishing industry reports in the nonprofit sector.
