Biography

Janneka Banks has an extensive clinical background in both acute and community oncology nursing. In conjunction with Bloomhill Cancer Care and APNA, Janneka initiated a nurse-led cancer survivorship clinic to ensure the ongoing needs of cancer survivors were met.

Janneka commenced teaching at USC in 2014 and has worked with various courses within all years of the undergraduate nursing program with a keen interest in the first year experience. Her current area of research is on compassion fatigue among Australian oncology nurses caring for adult cancer patients.
