About

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology, my research has a strong applied, clinical lens. I have managed and collaborated on >$4.9 million funded exercise-focussed clinical trials and obtained >$490K in competitive research funding, translating evidence to allied health practice.

My research program focusses on improving the effectiveness of, and access to, exercise and diet services for those with age-related chronic disease, particularly cancer. The projects of my team, comprising 8 completed honours students and 8 current HDRs, cross-sects clinical trial through to implementation-focussed research. Each of my students has achieved success in their candidature, including awards, competitive funding and distinctions, through hands-on, practically focussed research experiences to set them up for success.

Specific project opportunities within my team include:

  1. Evaluation of hospital-based exercise oncology services
  2. Improving equity-based access to exercise cancer services
  3. Exercise to optimise health during cancer
