About

Enrique is a PhD candidate in marine ecology at the University of the Sunshine Coast, researching the ecological boundaries and restoration potential of golden kelp (Ecklonia radiata) in Eastern Australia. His work integrates marine ecology and spatial modelling to support climate-resilient restoration. Alongside his PhD, he contributes to projects in geography and climate change education, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary teaching and environmental literacy. Enrique has worked across Europe and Australia on seaweed aquaculture, ecological monitoring, sustainability and education, and has teaching experience in environmental sciences, geography and sociology at both secondary and university levels.
