About

Research explores organisational adaptation scenarios and implications as a result of Artificial Intelligence (AI). A futures methodologies toolbox was applied with over 140 participants in workshops located in Bangkok; Mexico City; Sydney and Brisbane. The research explored the shifts required for leaders and the consequences of narrowness in strategy formulation and delivery. Five organisational operating model scenarios of the future (2040) were explored using the Futures Wheel. The research also investigated the importance of a ‘futures mindset’ linked to Dweck’s (2017) work on fixed and growth mindset. Exploring the interface between strategic foresight, design theory, agile forms of project and change management created a new anticipatory workforce design framework. The overall aim of the research was to ensure a ‘more than human’ space in both design and adaptation of organisations that choose to incorporate AI as part of their ecosystems.
