About

Caitlin Hill is a physiotherapist, registered since 2010, and a lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Her clinical experience is in musculoskeletal and neurological caseloads, and she worked as a clinical educator at Central Queensland University (CQU) in Rockhampton, where she also taught exercise and sports science and physiotherapy content. She completed her PhD at CQU in 2021, investigating the effects of therapeutic tape in lateral elbow tendinopathy.

Her research focuses on inclusion and participation in movement, sport and parenting for people with disability and chronic or invisible health conditions, including community-partnered accessibility solutions. She is an investigator on a mixed methods study of the experiences of parents with disability or chronic health conditions in the early parenting years, and on a project developing a collision and exercise load monitoring system for wheelchair sports. She also applies biomechanics and movement analysis to clinical and applied problems, including motion capture and para powerlifting, and researches exercise rehabilitation and injury prevention for musculoskeletal condition. Her teaching and learning research is student-centred and includes the use of AI in sport and exercise science education.

Caitlin has completed higher degree research supervisor training and is available as a co-supervisor for Honours and higher degree research students with interests in disability and chronic health condition inclusion, clinical and applied biomechanics, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
