Research Profile

Dr Anne Drabble is a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). Her research focuses on strengthening young children’s language, literacy and learning through evidence-informed practice, with particular interests in early language and oracy development, caregiver–child communication, dialogic interaction, shared storybook reading and quality interactions.

Anne’s research is characterised by collaboration and research–practice partnerships across education, health and community contexts. She contributes to collaborative research including the ARACY Resilience Scale and the Queensland Early Oral Language Project (QEOLP), where she serves as a Critical Friend supporting the translation of oral language evidence into early childhood practice.

Her research and scholarly work has been supported through competitive and partnership funding and disseminated through publications, conference presentations and research–practice partnerships.
