Abstract
The objective of this review is to map the key factors evident in the literature that underpin the links between Diet-Related Non-communicable diseases (DR-NCDs) and food and nutrition security (FNS) for women in Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) peripheral communities and to better clarify the challenges, working definitions and conceptual boundaries in the research area. The review will map where research has been conducted geographically and how the links between DR-NCDs and food and nutrition security in PICTs have been investigated over time, as well as identify any projections for the future. The overarching aim is to improve understanding of links between drivers of dietary change, food and FNS and DR-NCDs for women of reproductive age in PICT peripheral communities.
