Abstract
Arthrobacter phage Qui is a unique siphovirus which the Actinobacteriophage Database, vCLUSTER analyses and phylogenetic analyses reveal are distinct from members of the Mudcatvirus. Interestingly, the characteristics of its genome and proteome place phage Qui within the Mudcat-like viruses. We have chosen to create a new genus, Quivirus, which we have placed in a new family, Riverfallsviridae for viruses of is type.
