Abstract
An auto-ethnographic theatrical cabaret exploring mental health, specifically depression and bi-polar disorder. Written and performed by Jo Loth, this one-woman cabaret follows the central character's journey through depression and relates this experience to interview material from women who have experienced depression or bi-polar disorder. The performance integrated theatrical monologues and stand-up comedy with original songs in a variety of genres. The performance was developed through the application of three techniques of Michael White's narrative therapy.
