A child with a delivery date of …. Now. This Moment. Leonie and her trusted servant Clemence call the health professionals to the house!
During the play’s upcoming hour, Julien must navigate Leonie’s demands for a better husband, his mother-in-law’s interference with the entire event, his aristocratic father-in-law’s full voiced disapproval of Leonie’s eight-month marriage, a servant’s fascination with plates of macaroni at the wrong moments, and the sudden arrival of a new mid-wife whose priorities are rarely focused on the birth of the baby. This production features performances, design, stage management and assistant directing by the DRA 300 Theatre Production ensemble as part of their course requirements.
