Women’s Leadership and Business Collaboration: Project summary and activities report
2022
Abstract
Funded by Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the project comprised researchers partnered with Care Balonne, Balonne Shire, Queensland. It investigated women’s leadership skills and explored opportunities for capacity building. Women in these communities often launch entrepreneurial activities to supplement on-farm income, but a need for skills development in leadership, entrepreneurialism, business development and strategic communication was recognised. Accordingly workshops, mentoring, a best practice report, self-guided resources, and podcasts were delivered. This latter item is a significant legacy of the research.
