Abstract
Within the framework of EU funded Project “Technical Assistance for Strengthening Institutional Capacity of the Judiciary and Execution System for the Fight Against Addiction” this document presents in Chapter 1 the research on specialised courts established in Australia, Canada, Ireland Norway, and the UK to handle drug and stimulant related crimes. The research focuses on the legal framework and practices as well as on pros and cons regarding the specialised courts without favouring any specific system.
