Abstract
This report presents the evaluation findings for the School-based Playgroup Quality Assurance Trial (Trial), Queensland to embed a quality improvement process into the day to day practices of playgroups. The Trial was a pilot initiative of the Department of Education, North Coast Region, Early Childhood Education and Care, Queensland that engaged the University of the Sunshine Coast to develop and undertake the evaluation. The evaluation has been completed in two phases. Phase one was a formative evaluation, conducted in 2020, to review and revise elements of the Trial. This report presents the process and impact evaluation findings from phase two of the Trial, conducted throughout 2021.
