Abstract
The $100,000 Maker Projects – Community STEM Engagement grant funding (MAKERI000080), enabled the RoboCoast STEM Outreach project to expand participation in STEM maker activities involving robotics and technologies. The initiative prioritised underrepresented groups, including girls, First Nations students, young people with disabilities, and those living in regional, rural and remote area aged 8-15 years. This work strengthened the university’s efforts to encourage young people to view STEM careers and tertiary education as realistic and achievable post-school pathways.
