My-AHA: D2.3 Report on design of lifestyle intervention systems
MY-AHA Consortium
2016
Abstract
As part of the efforts to develop a multi-factorial intervention approach that targets frailty, this my- AHA deliverable reports and discusses relevant lifestyle interventions. After shortly presenting general starting points and underlying assumptions for the development of a my-AHA intervention approach, this deliverable presents general factors which influence the effectiveness of interventions, such as self-efficacy, adherence, motivation, feedback and coaching. The deliverable's core part presents existing intervention approaches for all targeted domains (i.e. physical, cognitive, social, psychological, nutrition and sleep) and discusses these in terms of their appropriateness for frail older people and their feasibility for unsupervised, home-based application. The available information is used to present a first and preliminary inventory of possible technology-based solutions which may be used for the development of the final my-AHA intervention approach. Hence, this deliverable establishes a basis for subsequent work by the my- AHA consortium, which will define the exact content of the my-AHA intervention program as well as its technological infra-structure.
