Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM)
2026
Abstract
The Leaders in Indigenous Nursing and Midwifery Education Network (LINMEN) is a network of nursing and midwifery educators established by CATSINaM in 2017 to lead theory-informed reform of nursing and midwifery education regarding cultural safety and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ health.
LINMEN is a program of CATSINaM and an essential part of CATSINaM’s capacity to lead nursing and midwifery education reform. The program is led by a LINMEN Director and receives advice from an Advisory Group, which is led by two co-Chairs and a LINMEN Elder. At the development of this document, approximately 100 members are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous nursing and midwifery philosophers, theorists, and educators.
