Abstract
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) Detection Dogs for Conservation, Fraser Coast Council, Gympie Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Council have been part of a collaborative project named: “Advancing cost-effective techniques for large-scale koala health mapping”. The aims of this research project were to 1) advance the field of non-invasive and large-scale monitoring of koala health by a combination of the use of detection dogs and analyses from scats and 2) enhance GPS-collar abilities to track fine scale koala movements.
