Worlds in Shadow: The Truths and Myths of Submerged Lands
Boston Museum of Science (12-Oct-2021)
2021
Abstract
For centuries, we have remained fascinated by the stories of lands lost to the ocean’s surface and history forever. However, the missing pieces of the past have rendered our understanding of these submerged lands incomplete. Are their disappearances based in truth or myth? The ocean’s surface is rising faster than at any time in the last 10,000 years, and understanding the past is crucial to recognizing what lies ahead.
