This presentation focuses on a 2023 survey of recreational mountain bikers' motivation, attitudes, and behaviours in Southeast Queensland, Australia. It provides an initial snapshot of the data set from 150+ responses. The presentation will highlight key trends linked to environmental motivations and engagement, trail infrastructure, the impact of cost and trail design on riders' accessibility, what shaped riders' motivations to ride, and how they started riding.
