Abstract
Similar to Faff et al (2017a & 2017b), the current paper documents the pitches presented by finalists of a “pitching research” (Faff, 2015, 2018a, 2018b) competition held in November 2017, at the University of Queensland. The competition was co-sponsored by the UQ Association of Postgraduate Students (UQAPS) and the UQ Business School. Like its predecessors, the 2017 event was truly expansive – capturing the full spectrum of academic discipline areas made possible in a comprehensive university setting: Marketing; Advanced Imaging; Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences; Health and Rehabilitation Sciences; Education; Neuroscience; Biological Sciences. Along with Faff et al (2017a & 2017b), this paper serves as a useful guiding resource for any novice researchers embarking on a new journey in any area of scholarly endeavor.
