Director’s Corner
It is hard to believe that is has already been over four months since I joined the Centre as Director. Since that time, I have been busy traveling the country to meet with our partners and working to build the Centre along the lines originally laid out by my predecessor. It has been an exciting time. In November, we welcomed Dr. Nami Kartal as a Senior Research Fellow and most recently, Ms. Linda Moss became the first student to submit her thesis under my direction. We are expecting several more completions, and new student projects in the coming months as we ramp up the center’s activities.
Our Annual Showcase will take place 10 April 2024 at the Ecosciences Precinct, Brisbane. This will be a great chance for you to see our progress and vision for the future, with presentations by our researchers and students with open discussions. I hope you will join us.
