Abstract
Snap a pic, help predict!
NOBURN is a citizen science tool that is helping us learn more about what is driving bushfires so we can predict these factors. Around Australia, NOBURN allows everyone who wants to, to record evidence of possible forest danger with nothing more than a smartphone. The data and images you record through this app helps researchers understand the structure, quantity, density, and dryness of forest fuels which, with the help of Artificial Intelligence, allows for better prediction of the likelihood, severity, and extent of potential fires.
We hope you want to become a scientist on our team and help us protect the environment in which we live, work and play.
Thank you,
The NOBURN Team
