Abstract
Eriophyid mites are another devastating problem in spotted gums and their hybrids, and within Australian forestry represent a pest guild unique to subtropical Queensland and NSW. They cause leaf blistering, necrosis and leaf loss of up to 90% on spotted gums and their hybrids, which are among the most important commercial hardwood plantation species for high quality timbers in the humid and sub-humid zones of Queensland and northern NSW.
