Abstract

Pure Mathematics

Working in the class of associative rings, we introduce a construction which determines a semisimple class for any generating class. We use this generalisation of the semisimple closure to characterise the radical-semisimple classes and explore its relationship to the pseudocomplement of a radical lolass in the lattice of all radicals. We use the construction to give a characterisation of regular radical classes which are complemented in this lattice.
