Abstract
This article discussed the importance of collaborative working relationships between planners, land developers, architects and archaeologists when considering developing or changing landscapes. An example of such a successful relationship was provided from the Mimiwhangata project coordinated by architects Turbott and Halstead which included an extensive archaeological site survey of the land proposed for development.
