Abstract

Human Movement and Sports Science testing flexibility
Coaches need a simple valid way to test and measure joint flexibility. The Australian Institute of Sport's men's soccer program was tested before and after the implementation of a post-training flexibility program. This program was undertaken 3 times a week over a 3 month period. Results from this study indicated a significant increase in static flexibility of the hip extensors and flexors, but no significant change was recorded for ankle flexibility.
