Abstract

Clinical medicine Dementia Initiatives
Simulated learning techniques are being used in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health at the University of Wollongong to facilitate the development of clinical reasoning and skills required by nurse graduates in dementia care. According to Billings (2007) incorporating simulation in curricula is a strategy that "holds promise for preparing learners for the complexities of clinical practice".
