Abstract

Organic Chemistry Medicinal and Biomolecular Chemistry ether derivative organosilicon derivative
The Lewis acids CH3SiCl3 (0.33 - 1.0 equivalents) and (CH3O)2SiCH3Cl (1.0 equivalent) promote the addition of aldehydes to allylstannanes to yield the homoallyl silyl ethers 1a, 1b, 3 - 5. These reactions do not proceed via an initial transmetallation. © 1992.
