Proportion in Middle School Mathematics: It's Everywhere
Australian Mathematics Teacher, Vol.64(3), pp.10-15
2008
Abstract
The authors summarise ways of working in different proportional situations and explain how similar solution methods for problems based on proportion can be used in various contexts. They suggest that proportional thinking is not a single topic, but the underlying principle in a range of topics such as rate, gradient of a linear function and similarity.
